Although his first job was as a line officer in Korea (left), Charlie has spent most of his professional career with Tribune. From 1956 to 1981, he worked in Orlando. From 1981 to 1990, he served as President of the Chicago Tribune. Then, in 1990 he moved to corporate where he eventually became Chairman/CEO of Tribune Company.
